After months of anxious waiting by the biscuit lovers of Nashville, Holler & Dash Biscuit House is finally ready to open their first location within the city limits on September 19. There are several reasons why Nashvillians are so expectant. First, the small chain of fast casual, chef-driven brunch restaurants are actually a subsidiary of Middle Tennessee-based Cracker Barrel, so there was a little impatience watching the company open its first locations in Alabama, Florida and tantalizing close in Brentwood, a short distance but aggravatingly crowded drive away from the newest location at 2407 8th Avenue South.
Secondly, Music City foodies have just plain been itching to get their hands on some of those delicious biscuit sandwiches that Chef Brandon Frohne and his staff have developed at Holler & Dash. From basic biscuits topped with jam or eggs to more elaborate versions featuring expertly-fried chicken complemented with additions of sweet pepper jelly or pimento cheese and jalapeños, Holler & Dash should prove to be a welcome addition to the growing Melrose neighborhood along the 8th Avenue/Franklin Rd. corridor.
Since man (or woman) cannot live by biscuits alone, Holler & Dash will also offer salads, breakfast bowls, beignets and parfaits. Drink options range from coffee and tea to a selection of craft beers and affordable wines. Come September 19 at 8:00 am, the wait will finally be over! Get in line early.
