Fat Bottom Brewing has had a pretty big year so far. They have moved from their original location in East Nashville to a much larger modern brewing facility on the west side of town. With this expanded operation, Fat Bottom has also upped their food and drink game with the addition of a beer garden space they call The Hop Yard and The Reserve, a 3000-square foot flexible space that can be rented out for private events.
Fat Bottom recently celebrated their fifth birthday with a big party at their new brewery at 800 44th Avenue N, and they took full advantage of the new space which is more than six times larger than their original brewery. But they’re not done partying yet!
On Thursday, September 7 from 5:30 until 8:30, they will host “The Taste of West Nashville,” a charitable event benefiting the West Nashville Dream Center, a community center with a goal to improve the safety and quality of life for the under-resourced in the surrounding neighborhoods. Your $35 admission entitles you to tastings from sixteen favorite West Nashville restaurants, and an extra $15 will get you all the Fat Bottom beer you’d like to drink (21+ of course, and please plan to arrange safe transportation.)
The Hop Yard will be providing some of the fare from their own kitchen, but they’ll be joined by other nearby eateries including Farm Burger, 51st Kitchen, Avo, House, Coco’s Italian Market, Nations Bar and Grill, Local Taco, Frothy Monkey, Calypso, Flip Burger, McDougal’s Chicken and others. If you’re interested in enjoying some great food and drink while helping out a good cause, go ahead and pick up your tickets at the event’s website. You can add the bottomless beer cup option at the event, so don’t worry that you don’t have a chance to purchase that online.
