Chicken Satay


  • 1 C Soy Sauce
  • 1 C Brown Sugar
  • 1 C Water
  • 1 T Chili Flakes
  • 6 Each Chicken Tenders diced 1 inch cubes
  • 1 Package of satay skewers, 6 inches in length
  • Green onion, basil, mint and cilantro, minced for garnish


  1. Add Soy Sauce, Water, Brown Sugar and Chili Flakes into a medium pot on high heat
  2. Soak wooden skewers in water
  3. Bring marinade to a boil then pour mixture into a bowl and place it in the refrigerator to chill
  4. Cut the chicken tenders into 1″ cubes
  5. Once marinade mixture is chilled, reserve some for dipping
  6. Add the chicken to the bowl with remaining marinade and let sit for 24 hrs
  7. Skewer the chicken, 4-5 cubes per stick
  8. Grill Chicken Skewers 3-4 minutes on each side
  9. When done, plate the skewers and garnish it with the minced herb mixture
